At least one parent must be a practicing Catholic. At least one God Parent must be a baptized and practicing Catholic and at least 16 years of age.

This Sacrament is usually completed in the Sophomore year or 10th grade of high school. The student must have been baptized and received their 1st Communion (or receiving their 1st Communion at the time of Confirmation). This Sacrament is usually completed during the students 2nd grade year, in the context of ongoing participation in our children’s C.C.D. program. The student must be at least 7 years of age, baptized and have received their First reconciliation Please call the parish office (574)583-5724 and ask for Father Chris Miller, or Ary Nelson at (574)583-6790 with any questions regarding this Sacrament. This needs to be done as soon as possible.
Shut Ins should be visited regularly by Ministers of Holy Communion and by Father. Call the office 583-6790 or Father 583-5724 to make arrangements.
Confessions are heard Saturday Afternoon from 3:30pm to 4:15pm; on half hour before weekday Masses or by appointment.
First Confession (Reconciliation) is made prior to First Communion in context of our C.C.D. classes.

Anyone contemplating marriage in the Catholic Church must be a practicing Catholic. Father must be contacted before a date can be set or halls rented. The Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana; requires a minimum six month preparation period, PreCana or Engagement Encounter.

Any adult interested in becoming Catholic or just in learning more about the Faith are invited to Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults instruction classes. All shut ins and nursing home residents should be visited and brought Holy Communion regularly: Call the Parish Office with anyone who needs to be on the list. Please let us know if your loved one is in the hospital for an extended period so that they can be visited (the hospitals no longer automatically inform us). The Sacraments of the Sick (Anointing) should be received when one begins to be in danger from sickness or old age-call Father at 574-583-5724; ALSO the Sacrament of the Sick is regularly administered during 5:30pm Mass on the First Wednesday of the month.
